there are three other shivering accountants next to me. It was 44 degrees last night in fort wayne when i landed...i was in a knit top and ripped jeans.

woke up this morning to FRIGID air blowing into the room (i turn of central air and use the fan/crack the window in hotels-stuffy air is gross). Needless to say, it was VERY difficult getting out of my VERY warm bed. Apparently we skipped right over autumn and straight into winter. I did not pack my fall wardrobe. The warmest item of clothing in my hotel room is a cardigan. what will I doooooooooooooooooooooooooo. i'm already cold all the time. my fingers are too frozen to work on excel...that's why I'm writing on my blog instead *smirk*

at least i'm not the only idiot in her pencil skirt and silk blouse today. the whole team came in their summer office get-up. i didn't fly home last weekend, what's their excuse? apparently no1 checks the weather in fort wayne.

In all seriousness though, I'd be bummed if I miss fall this year because it is, undoubtedly, the best season EVER. I can almost taste Larry's turkey in my mouth-two more months! two more months!

BECAUSE we love wine...

Last Saturday, three girls took a wine tasting class in Chelsea. I'm.....underwhelmed. I paid $90 to learn what I already knew....that I like sweet wine. What I didn't know (betcha didn't either) is that sweeter wine has a higher alcohol content and that tannin in full body reds is why people often pair red wine w/ red meat....to cut the fat. The fat's the best part. and I want none of it "cut". 

Anyway, In the 10 wines I tasted, I liked the malbec variety and riesling the best...another surprise.....since they're both on the sweeter side of their color family.

The riesling we tasted was especially delicious.

Verdict. I wouldn't recommend the class by NY Wine Company. Now I'm dying to buy some books on tasting/pairing wines and visit a vineyard and take some better classes. Wannacomeweeme?

...of eating 5 meals a day….full sized. Once I had a full dinner and then bought a big mac (#1) and a chicken club(#9) from Mcdonald's. Linda bore witness.

...of cutting my own hair as a little girl, butchering it each time. I now cut Linda's bangs every couple of weeks. You live and you learn. I should start charging…in massages…
...of letting things go bad in the fridge…every. single. week.

...of skipping a lot of classes my freshmen year at NYU, and the year after. Then I cleaned up my act during OCR.
...of talking really hood once in awhile. Especially with my friend Olaitan. She brings out the black sister in me.

 ...of shopping online like a champ. We don’t have a doorman so my roommates stay home for UPS during busy season. I work in another state right now. UPS still comes like clockwork...

...of not being home for the next month. I'll be traveling out of town on weekends too. Will finally go home (first visit in almost a year) God I miss the twins. Will fly to LA and Atlanta for a dear friend's wedding reception.
