don't believe me? does ANYONE aside from mothers qualify for the job?
JOB DESCRIPTION: Long term, team players needed, for challenging
permanent work in an often chaotic
environment.
Candidates must possess excellent communication and organizational
skills and be willing to work variable hours, which
will include evenings and weekends and frequent 24 hour shifts on call.
Some overnight travel required, including trips to primitive camping
sites on rainy weekends and endless sports
tournaments in far away cities. Travel expenses not reimbursed.
Extensive courier duties also required.
RESPONSIBILITIES: The rest of your life. Must be willing to be hated, at
least temporarily, until someone needs $5.
Must be willing to bite tongue repeatedly. Also, must possess the
physical stamina of a pack mule and be able to go from
zero to 60 mph in three sec onds flat in case, this time, the screams
from the backyard are not someone just crying wolf.
Must be willing to face stimulating technical challenges, such as small
gadget repair, mysteriously sluggish toilets and
stuck zippers.
Must screen phone calls, maintain calendars and coordinate production of
multiple homework projects.
Must have ability to plan and organize social gatherings for clients of
all ages and mental outlooks.
Must be willing to be indispensable one minute, an embarrassment the
next.
Must handle assembly and product safety testing of a half million cheap,
plastic toys, and battery operated devices.
Must always hope for the best but be prepared for the worst.
Must assume final, complete accountability for the quality of the end
product.
Responsibilities also include floor maintenance and janitorial work
throughout the facility.
POSSIBILITY FOR ADVANCEMENT & PROMOTION: Virtually none. Your job is to
remain in the same position for
years, without complaining, constantly retraining and updating your
skills, so that those in your charge can ultimately
surpass you
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE: None required unfortunately. On-the-job training
offered on a continually exhausting
basis.
WAGES AND COMPENSATION: Get this! You pay them! Offering frequent raises
and bonuses. A balloon payment is
due when they turn 18 because of the assumption that college will help
them become financially independent.
When you die, you give them whatever is left. The oddest thing about
this reverse-salary scheme is that you actually
enjoy it and wish you could only do more.
BENEFITS: While no health or dental insurance, no pension, no tuition
reimbursement, no paid holidays and no stock
options are offered; this job supplies limitless opportunities for
personal growth and free hugs for life if you play your
cards right.

BECAUSE we are hoarders...
just kidding. or are we? let me just set the record straight by saying the below pictures are my apt, not Joy's. Her's is pristine, always. I'm you know, a bit more homey-ier? don't you agree?
If we've caught up at all in the past month you know I've planned to redecorate when one of my roommate moved out. My darling Linda is staying on and I will soon welcome Wendy into the household. I'll be keeping you updated on the progress as I transform my apt into a real home. If you have a small apt, live in the city, or just want to know how to make use of limited space, stay tuned!
you are my inspiration.

BECAUSE I'm a CPA...
well not quite but I HAVE PASSED ALL FOUR EXAMS AND AM DONE WITH STUDYING FOREVER. who wants to have dinner?
I've just sent in the paper work for my CPA bonus and will be going out to dinner tomorrow to celebrate. I will continue to celebrate for the rest of my like, or at least the next couple of weeks. For all who are wondering, I am available for dinner and drinks and my best friend Joy is taking me to KING SPA for a day of much deserved relaxation and girl time.
I have also fully stocked my minibar and will be happy-houring it up in hurrrr.
And in case you thought I did this on my own, I did not. The church prayerfully supported me throughout the last 8 months. My darling roommate Linda washed my dishes the week before each exam when I went into cram modes. Joy cheered me up relentlessly. My dad fasted for me. And Jesus, my homeboy J Christ. Thank you for everything you've done for me. You are my hope, my eternal joy. I am nothing without you.
From us to you with all our love,

Shoe Organizer/Storage Cubby
This is a project I, Joy, did months ago.
One day I was watching my dad clean the garage and stack three apple crates right outside of the garage to throw them out. I asked him for them just because... And honestly I didn't know what to do with them for about a month. So the precious apple crates sat in my tiny studio waiting to be reformed into something great. So a month had passed and the weather got chilly. And my roommates(sister and cousin) brought in their more weather appropriate shoes and we needed a storage for shoes. So I decided to turn them into a shoe organizer cubby!

I liked the size of the crate but the color gots to go...
I decided to stain it and I used Dark Walnut for wood stain.
Tada!
It only took me an hour to stain 3 apple crates and a day and half to completely dry them.
Oh, I am using the last crate as a towel storage in my bathroom.
