BECAUSE you don't need an oven to make good pie...

I think, I THINK this is the easiest dessert you will ever attempt (except for maybe puppy chow) and for those who don't know what puppy chow is-shame on you. I tasted this at a Chinese party, if you don't know what THAT is, don't worry about it and be thankful you don't. I then searched high and low for the exact recipe that replicated what I tasted that night and here's what I came up with.

and I share.

two pie crusts

a whole can of whipped cream

one lemon and two packets of gelatin

a can of mango pulp

1 cup of boiling hot water

1 cup of chopped frozen mangos

1. add both bags of gelatine to the cup of hot water and MIX WELL

2. add the can of mango pulp to gelatin/water mixture

add the juice of a whole lemon and mix well

add the whole can of whipped cream

mix completely

add all the frozen mangos

mix again

pour into both pie crusts(divide evenly)

set in refrigerator overnight and serve cold!

My best friend left NYC and me forever....just kidding. She's going on vacation for the next week. I'm pretty bummed out. Before she left however, we swapped clothes. She took three necklaces (all from Jcrew) and I borrowed a skirt. Linda photographed me on the way to church.

BECAUSE Betsey J. went Chapter 11...

and we will benefit from it.

Betsey is bankrupt and closing every single store. A friend of mine and I are hitting up the Betsey Johnson sample sale bright and early. To all my first timers, here are a few important tips for a successful sample sale:

1. get there early, if it starts at 10, show up earlier because by the time you show up at 10, the line will have already wrapped around three blocks (depending on the designer)
2. find out if they accept credit cards so you can hit the ATM beforehand.
3. DRESS RIGHT. Wear tights, shoes that can be slipped on and off easily, and a baggy shirt that can go over your head in 2 seconds flat. You will be taking it off multiple times and the changing room is often just a big open area sectioned off by a curtain with hooks all long the wall to hang your stuff. You will be changing in front of everyone and their grandmother-you will have NO privacy.
4. have a small bag if you need one at all, it will get heavy and your arms will get tired.
